Time to bypass our tone deaf politicians? …Time for a Swiss style democracy?
Trust in politicians?…Finished.
Faith in Parliament?… Dead.
And no wonder, the politicians stopped serving and representing us, and started believing that they ruled us.
Starmer’s approval rating is now circling the drain at 14%, and Labour, after just a year in power, are already collapsing in the polls, way faster than anyone could have predicted. They had their shot, they talked a big game, they lied continuously and managed to trick the electorate into thinking that they’d be different, and that they’d implement change.
And what did we get?…tax hikes, hundreds of thousands of jobs lost, thousands of businesses folding and no sign of the “grown-up” government that they promised.
The country is crying out for a revolution in how we do politics, not with banners and bricks, but with power back in the hands of the people. It’s time we looked seriously at the Swiss model, yes, the neutral little Switzerland, and ask why they get real democracy, while we get stitched up election after election.
In Switzerland, people don’t just vote once every five years then get ignored, they have referendums all year round, on actual issues like immigration, tax, pensions, green laws and criminal justice, not the fake “consultations” we get from Westminster, that seem to go absolutely nowhere. If enough people want something changed, they force a vote and the result?… binding, not debated and not watered down.
Imagine that here, imagine if we the public, had the power to force a vote on stopping illegal immigration, on banning foreign aid to hostile nations, on axing the TV licence... On scrapping gender ideology in schools, and on deporting foreign criminals.
You really think the majority of Brits would vote to keep the status quo?…not a chance.
But our political class wouldn’t dare allow it. They now fear the public and that means that they fear democracy itself, because deep down, they know they’ve lost the room. Starmer, Badenoch, Davey, pick your poison…they all live in a bubble. Champagne receptions, think tank waffle, career politician echo chambers. None of them have worked a single shift in the real world for decades and it clearly shows.
This country doesn’t need more parties. It needs less politics and more people power. We should be able to force a national vote if, say, a petition gets over a million signatures from actual UK citizens. We should have the right to veto legislation that wasn’t in a party’s manifesto. We should be able to recall MPs who lie or betray their voters, not just shout at the telly, or even while you’re on the telly, like me, while they, the politicians, waltz off with gold plated pensions.
The globalist elite like Starmer would scream “populism!” as if that’s an insult. Do you know what populism means?…
It means policies that are actually popular with the population, god forbid that, right?
Look around, you can feel it, I feel it, I can see it… the country is utterly broken. The trust completely gone. We’re taxed, lied to, lectured and ignored. The Left’s warped cultural war is infecting every school, hospital and office. The Right’s economic promises seem to vanish the second they’re elected, no one is delivering for us…everyone is failing.
It’s time we took back control, but for real this time. Swiss style direct democracy could maybe give us that, not once every five years, but every month if needed.
Because if we don’t change the system, the system will change us…and not for the better.
I’VE NEVER BEEN SO DISILLUSIONED WITH POLITICS IN MY LIFE.

So weird! Literally emailing Advance UK this very moment saying this exact thing! Asking them to adopt this as a policy position. We need to scale up the Swiss system - because look at the country it produces! Wealthy, beautiful protected environment, safe, run by the people for the people (and no nonsense from a certain element either!).
So true, I feel exactly the same, we should get far more votes and if I lose that is fine, that is democracy, at least I have had a chance to change the country how I want it.
