The final stand at The Bell Hotel ?
Did tonight mark the final stand in Epping ?
At the heart of a growing national scandal, sits the Bell Hotel, a taxpayer funded accommodation hub for migrants, one of whom has now been alleged to have sexually assaulted a local schoolgirl. That single sentence alone should chill any parent to the bone, but it’s not just about one allegation anymore, It’s about years of being ignored, overruled and silenced over the behaviour of its occupants.
This evening, I joined 40 to 50 local women, mothers, daughters, grandmothers, who have simply had enough. We walked from the Bell Hotel, past shops and quiet homes, to the Civic Offices of the Epping Forest District Council. There was no vile shouting, no politics, just raw, justified concern. These weren’t activists, these were local women standing up for their town, their children and their right to be safe.
Inside the chamber, something extraordinary happened. The councillors, from all parties – voted unanimously to close the Bell Hotel to migrants. That tells you everything you need to know, the entire council stood with the people. No division. No hesitation. Just action.
Let’s be crystal clear, the local authority opposes the Bell Hotel, the local MP opposes the Bell Hotel, the local mayor opposes the Bell Hotel and the local people, in overwhelming numbers, want the Bell Hotel shut down. So why is it still open?
One answer: the Home Office.
It’s now down to them. The same department that funnily enough isn’t based in Epping. The same department that doesn’t live with the consequences of its decisions. They don’t have to worry about walking their kids past the Bell Hotel. They don’t face the fear that has gripped this community, fear that began as concern, then frustration and has now turned into something deeper…defiance.
Because let’s not forget what sparked this wave of anger. A schoolgirl. A child. Allegedly assaulted by someone who was brought here, housed, fed, and clothed at the expense of the British taxpayer…there was no vetting, no safeguarding, just cold, bureaucratic indifference and now, families are paying the price.
The residents of Epping aren’t asking for the moon. They’re demanding basic safety, accountability and respect. They want a proper risk assessment when unknown, unvetted men are placed in the heart of their town, near schools and playgrounds. Is that really so unreasonable?
Tonight wasn’t about Left or Right. It wasn’t about race or politics. It was about community. About people who’ve been ignored by the very institutions that are supposed to protect them. It was about mums saying: “No more.” And councillors, for once, listening.
But that decision now sits on a desk in Whitehall and if the Home Office dares to overrule the will of the people, the council, the MP and the mayor – then they are declaring war on democracy at a local level.
They are telling Epping and by extension, every town in this country, that you don’t matter.
So what happens now?…we wait…we watch and we stay loud.
Tonight might have been the final stand at the Bell Hotel, but it’s not the end. If Westminster ignores this united front, then the fight will only grow louder, stronger and more determined.
Because the people of Epping have spoken.
And they won’t be silenced again.

Awesome work Adam may this be an example that the rest of the country follows and the voices of the majority are heard are loud and clear.
Well done to the good people of Epping, and to the local Council, this nightmare must be brought to an end. All illegals migrants must be deported, no ifs and buts, repatriated back to their own countries of origin, or to a safe country in their own region of the world.
Here in Bournemouth we have the same problem, Hotels being used as migrant accommodation and the sexual assaults and other heinous crimes have sky rocketed. It’s not safe anymore to visit our Town at night due to a menagerie of beggars, scammers, pick pockets, and third world detritus. Even in the sea young girls have been lured out of their depth sexually abused and raped.
Thank you Adam for this open and honest report.
