More imported predators

Another day, another migrant sex crime.

For months, the public was kept in the dark. Two teenage asylum seekers from Afghanistan, involved in one of the most sickening crimes imaginable - the abduction and rape of a 15 year old schoolgirl, and who were allowed to remain anonymous. Officials claimed naming them might spark “public disorder.”

Today, that cloak of secrecy was torn away. At Warwick Crown Court, the judge finally lifted reporting restrictions. The perpetrators are now publicly identified as Jan Jahanzeb and Israr Niazal, both 17 year old asylum seekers from Afghanistan.

The facts are atrocious, the girl was separated from her friends in a park at Newbold Comyn in Leamington Spa, led into a secluded “den type” area and raped. The victim recorded portions of the ordeal, sobbing, pleading for help, and begging to be let go… evidence so chilling that even a hardened court room recoiled.

Sentences handed down - Jahanzeb will serve 10 years and 8 months; Niazal, 9 years and 10 months. Both will begin in a youth offenders’ institution and eventually move to adult prison. They are to be placed on the sex offenders register for life and given indefinite restraining orders. Jahanzeb has already been served deportation papers; the judge urged the government to recommend deportation for Niazal too.

We should be furious, because this should never have remained hidden. The anonymity granted to these attackers was not a favour to justice, but a protective cloak for political correctness and fear of “public unrest.” Now the truth is out.

And the broader question must be asked… how many more crimes, how many more rapes, assaults, paedophile style attacks, are being buried under the guise of “public interest,” “community tensions” or “preventing disorder”? How many more are hidden from the British people, while public funds pay for their upkeep, housing, and relocation?

Because make no mistake, these illegals, many from cultures where women are treated as second (or third) class citizens, were not vetted in the way our society demands. We opened our doors and they simply walked in. And some, evidently, brought with them values that are toxic to our laws, our safety and our children.

This isn’t just a crime. This is another warning. If we do not demand absolute transparency, full disclosure of asylum seekers’ identities when they commit violent crimes, unflinching reporting by media, and immediate deportation upon conviction, then we are failing not only the victim, but every parent, every daughter, every woman and girl in this country.

We must treat this as the national emergency it is. Because until we do, women and girls across Britain remain under threat.
