Migrant Hotels are a National scandal and Labour lied about ending them

We were told that the migrant hotel scandal would end, Labour promised it before the last election and the British people were led to believe that common sense would finally return, but here we are, hundreds of hotels across the UK still closed to the public, filled with illegal immigrants and fake asylum seekers, causing utter chaos in once quiet communities.

Labour stood up during the campaign and claimed they would stop the use of hotels for housing so called asylum seekers, but It was a lie, nothing has changed, in fact, in some areas, it is getting far worse. 

Hotels that once brought in tourists, supported local events and gave jobs to people in the community, are now closed, and crawling with unvetted men from God knows where…

Let’s call this what it is, a national disgrace and a national emergency. These hotels are not places of refuge, they are a hotbed of crime. There have been violent assaults, rapes, and even the murder of a worker. How many people have to suffer before someone in Westminster admits this is a failed policy and one that’s putting British lives at risk?

Two hotels near me were set on fire, not by angry locals, but by the migrants staying inside them, this is what we are dealing with and the media won’t even report it half the time, as they are too busy crying racism to face the reality that putting hundreds of unvetted young men into a hotel with no proper oversight is a recipe for disaster.

Shoplifting is up, thefts are rising and local businesses are paying the price. I have spoken to shopkeepers who have to chase people out of their stores daily in Epping, a local town to me. In many cases, it is the very people being housed, fed, and clothed on our tax payers money.

Women have been followed down the street and migrants have even been spotted watching school kids.

Let’s not pretend they are just sitting around doing nothing either, these are supposed to be asylum seekers, but somehow they are riding around on mopeds and bikes, working as delivery drivers for takeaway apps. They are in the system illegally, being housed illegally and are now undercutting legitimate workers in the gig economy too.

The impact on local economies is devastating. If you close a functioning hotel, you kill the flow of tourism, you kill trade for the local pub, the café and the corner shop. You take income away from taxi drivers, entertainers, wedding venues and event planners, the knock on effect is enormous, and it hits working people the hardest and makes their local community more unsafe.

This country is being taken for a ride, people who broke our laws to get here, are being rewarded with free accommodation, three meals a day, cash handouts, doctors and dentists on call and zero chance of ever integrating. Meanwhile, British families are struggling to pay their rent, veterans sleep rough, people struggle to see a doctor or dentist and young couples can’t get on the housing ladder.

Labour promised that they would end this madness, but they have done nothing. The hotels are still full, the crimes are still happening and the British public are still being lied to. Well, enough is enough, end the migrant hotel scam now and put British communities first, stop putting our women and children at risk.
