Ed Miliband’s floating lunacy: Solar panels on our lakes?!

Here we go again. Ed Miliband, yes, the same bloke who couldn’t even eat a bacon sandwich without looking like he needed adult supervision, is back and this time he wants to float solar panels on our lakes…you read that right. Not content with carpeting our farmland in ugly, Chinese made black glass, now the eco zealot wants to take over our waterways too.

This is Net Zero fanaticism taken to the next level, first it was fields, then it was farmland, now it’s lakes. What’s next?…solar panels on the cliffs of Dover, wind turbines in your back garden?

Let’s be crystal clear, Britain contributes to less than 1% of global emissions. We’ve done more than nearly any country on Earth to reduce our footprint over the past 20 years, cleaner energy, greener vehicles, collapsing industry ( thanks to clueless politicians ), you name it. And yet Miliband and his climate cult, want to go even further, and faster, no matter the cost. 

Who cares about the view?…who cares about food security?…who cares about rising bills and energy blackouts? 

All that matters to them is the sacred altar of Net Zero.

What’s the great plan now?…to ruin our natural beauty with floating solar farms. Lakes that should be home to fish, birds and peaceful views, will become industrial zones. The British countryside, once the envy of the world, will be a patchwork of mirrors, wires and Chinese hardware, and yes, most of these panels are made in China, a country building coal plants like there’s no tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I go to Mallorca every year. And do you know where they’ve put their solar panels?…the central reservations of the motorways, the roofs of warehouses, covered car parks and industrial areas.. ie sensible places. Not on farmland, not on lakes, not on beauty spots.

But here in Britain, the political class, completely out of touch with ordinary people, are determined to ruin every last piece of open land in the name of green virtue signalling and if you dare question it, you’re branded a “denier” or  shouted down by the likes of Greta Thunberg and her paid off celebrity pals, who apparently know more about climate science than actual scientists or those of us that live in the real world.

Let me tell you what this is really about, it is about control and cash. The elites swan around in their private jets, buying up beachfront homes that they claim will be underwater in ten years, and eat wagyu steak, all while lecturing you about your Sunday roast and your petrol car. You will own nothing, eat insects, and freeze in the winter while they pat themselves on the back for “saving the planet.”

Net Zero isn’t about saving the Earth, It’s about controlling you, and Ed Miliband is just the latest high priest of this green religion, selling you fear and flogging your freedoms.

This isn’t progress, It’s eco madness. Wake up before they pave our ‘paradise’ and drown it in solar panels.
