Cover ups, corruption and the death of trust in politicians.

How many cover ups do we need before we accept the ugly truth?… the truth that our own Government, those elected to serve us, routinely lie, hide and distract. This week’s latest betrayal?…the leaking of a secret Afghan repatriation scheme, where thousands of Afghans, quietly flown in under the radar, no public debate, no vote and no consultation. Just thousands more men placed in British communities, with the taxpayer footing the £7 billion bill. Yet another stealth operation done behind the backs of the British people.

We were lied to…again.

This is not new and it’s not even surprising anymore. From the Iraq War lies, the infamous “weapons of mass destruction” that never existed, to the infected blood scandal, where thousands were knowingly given tainted blood and left to die, we have been betrayed over and over again in this country.

The people responsible?…promoted, protected and pensioned off.

Look at Hillsborough, ninety seven dead. Families smeared by the press. South Yorkshire Police engaged in a full blown cover up, all aided by political cowards and selected media stooges. It took decades for the truth to be acknowledged, but decades of grieving families being treated like criminals.

Where was the justice?…where was the accountability?

Then there’s the grooming gangs scandal, one of the darkest stains on modern Britain. Tens of thousands of white British girls, raped and abused for years, all while authorities looked the other way and all because they didn’t want to be called racist or cause community tensions. Councils, police, and politicians knew, but they covered it up to protect their careers. These poor girls were sacrificed on the altar of political correctness and votes.

And let’s not forget the Post Office Horizon scandal, where hundreds of innocent sub postmasters were falsely prosecuted, many driven to financial ruin, family breakdowns, and even suicide. This wasn’t some administrative mistake, but a coordinated cover up. The Post Office knew the system was flawed and still dragged innocent people through court, aided by politicians. Meanwhile, Paula Vennells, the CEO at the time, walked away with a CBE and a fat pension.

Every single one of these cases shows a pattern, one where the system protects itself. The elites close ranks and the truth is buried way. Whistleblowers are silenced and victims are vilified…the public?…we’re expected to move on, keep quiet and pay the price literally and morally.

This isn’t about party politics anymore, It’s about a political class, whether Tory, Labour, or Lib Dem, all treat the British people with absolute contempt. We are lied to, manipulated and ignored. Our safety, our sovereignty, and our savings are sold out behind closed doors.

The Afghan airlift leak was the final straw. The public deserves to know who’s coming into this country, how much it’s costing and what the long term plan is. Instead, we get silence, deflection and smears. And when we dare to ask questions, we’re labelled bigots or conspiracy theorists.

No… enough is enough.

The trust is gone. The institutions are rotten. We don’t trust those who claim to represent us, because time and time again, they’ve shown they’re only in it for themselves.

And when a government fears transparency more than tyranny… you know the country is in real trouble.
